Assistant Chief of Cardiology, Mid Atlantic Permanente Medical Group
Dr. Ameya Kulkarni is the assistant chief of cardiology for the Kaiser Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group in Northern Virginia, the Co-Medical Director of the Louise Olmstead Sands Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Virginia Hospital Center, Chairman of the Kaiser Northern Virginia Physician Professional Development and Satisfaction Committee, and Innovations Engine Remote Monitoring Project Lead. Dr. Kulkarni received his MD from Yale University.
He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Columbia University Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in Cardiology at the University of California, San Francisco, and a second fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at Massachusetts General Hospital. In addition to his clinical responsibilities, he is passionate about finding meaningful ways to integrate technology into clinical practice. He currently lives in Arlington, Virginia with his wife and two young daughters.
