Faizal Kassamali is an Eagle Scout, holds several patents, and has a Masters Degree and a Bachelors in Computer Science from UCLA. His first engineering job was at Xerox where he was photocopying his face before selfies were even a thing! After that incident, he joined Microsoft who promptly shipped him to China to work in their Beijing Research Lab. While there, he witnessed frantic preparations for the 2008 Olympics which helped groom him for a role as Chair of the Aga Khan Youth & Sports Board for the Western USA. He spent 7 years at Amazon where his team earned an award for innovation from the New York Times. Faizal has worked the last 3 chaotic years at Snapchat making photos — and equity — disappear.
